Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. I am currently an out of network provider, which means I do not accept insurance plans. However, many insurance plans offer partial or full reimbursement for out of network providers. I am happy to provide a SuperBill (an itemized statement with your appointments for a given time), which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. If you are uncertain about your out of network benefits, you can start by calling your insurance provider to inquire about out of network coverage.

My session fee is $200 per visit. The first session is $240 to allow for extra time for paperwork and onboarding.
I accept payments in the form of credit or debit card, including HSA/FSA cards.
I utilize a secure, HIPPA compliant electronic health record called SimplePractice to collect and store your billing information. This information is collected prior to your first appointment.
Payments will then be automatically debited from your account at midnight the day of our appointment.

Yes. I keep 2 sliding scale spots on my caseload. At the moment, these appointments are filled, and I do not currently have sliding scale openings. However, you are welcome to reach out to me periodically to inquire if my sliding scale openings have become available.

Yes. I currently have openings for new clients. However, when my caseload is full, I am able to add interested folks to my waitlist. In the event that a client leaves my caseload or completes therapy, I will reach out to clients in order of interest to fill the existing opening.

Yes. I offer in person appointments at my office in Northeast Minneapolis on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (See my contact page for location information). Telehealth appointments are available on Mondays. I do not offer a combination of in person/telehealth, and ask that you generally commit to one setting or the other due to my limited in person availability.
Please reach out if you have questions about the setting you would like to receive therapy. There are pros and cons of both telehealth and in person, and I’m happy to talk through which option works best for you.
If you prefer to meet via telehealth, but would like to meet me in real life for 1 session, I’m happy to arrange that as well. While it’s not a requirement, I fully support this type of “meet and greet”! Often our nervous systems want to know who it is we’re sharing intimate parts of our life with, and it can be a nice way to get a better sense of who I am and how it feels to be in the same room.
